Kinda Lahaina Broiler is back

In May of 2005, the landmark Seal Beach restaurant, Kinda Lahaina Broiler, burned to the ground, leaving locals without one of their favorite eating places. Although the restaurant has been open since August of 2007, Friday February 8th 2008, will mark the grand re-opening of this wonderful restaurant.
Some of the new features of Kinda Lahaina, are the all bamboo floors, stained-glass windows, handicapped accessible restrooms and HD plasma flat screen TVs. Another benefit is that the menu hasn’t changed, but a new executive chef has joined the staff. Read the rest of this entry »

A Healthy Sandwich in Huntington Beach

Esther’s Place, is one of those small sandwich shops that you want to keep to yourself. Behind the counter is Esther Kim, and there are three things you can count on ever time you step foot into her establishment:

  • A warm greeting upon entering
  • Probably the healthiest sandwich around
  • A line of customers waiting to get their hands on Ester’s food

Look Mom I Can Dance!

Have you been looking for a place to dance in Orange County, but just haven’t found the spot? Foxfire in Anaheim Hills is one of the busiest dance spots around. Depending on the day, Foxfire might have live local music such as Radio Rage, Chain Reaction and Taxi Wisdom or they might make you the start with karakoe. Although Foxfire is known for their lounge and entertainment, one can’t go wrong with the dinning experience either. The low-key dress code makes for a comfortable evening, but don’t think you can show up in board shorts and sandals, no no, this place is elegant and romantic, so it’s perfect for a date. Savannah Steak and Chop House

If your looking for a place to relax and enjoy an upscale dinner for two or with friends, then Savannah Steak & Chop House in Laguna Niguel is for you. What started out as drinks with some friends, turned into appetizers and dinner for four. The setting of Savannah’s is perfect for an evening with someone special, or a business dinner. We ended up retreating to the bar for some drinks before we met our friends, and ended up finding a nice oversized booth where we enjoyed a cocktail. While sitting there in the dimly lit room, we noticed that there was a person playing some light live music in the corner.
