Hawaiian Fusion at Roy’s in Newport Beach
Roy Yamaguchi’s is a wonderful chef that has created a chain of restaurants that’s all about Hawaiian style. This is the type of establishment that one can go to for any occasion. Gentlemen, you want to impress that certain lady with cuisine you aren’t going to find someplace else, and located in posh neighborhood? Ladies, you want to see if your man has the ability to find some trendy little place that screams Newport Beach? Well look no further, Roy’s is the place. Here are few of our favorite things about Roy’s.
- The number one rule at Roy’s, is get a reservation. The dining experience is so unique that everyone wants a piece of it. So plan ahead and reserve a booth or a counter seat.
- So you really want to be part of the action? Then sit at the counter and watch as these wonderful creations come to life. Counter seating is very social and the time fly’s by, and the experience is awesome. For the love birds there are booths that can be requested which give you the right amount of privacy.
- Make sure you enjoy one of their signature martini’s. Filled with SKYY Vodka, Stoli Vanil Vodka and Malibu Coconut Rum and infused with fresh pineapple. Yeah it’s good, real good.
- For an appetizer you can’t go wrong with the wood grilled Szechuan spiced baby back pork ribs. This isn’t served for just one, but we’re willing to bet there is going to be a struggle for the last piece. They really are that good.
- For the main dish, don’t pass up the “Surf and Turf”. The shrimp is excellent and the Filet Minot is done perfectly.
- You haven’t topped it off unless you try the “Roy’s Melting Hot Chocolate Soufflé”.
In our opinion Roy’s is a great place to eat. The servers are excellent and can make outstanding recommendations, and the service is exactly what you would expect from such an establishment. The prices aren’t outrageous, so it won’t break the bank, and the attire is exactly what you would expect for Newport Beach. Located right next to Fashion Island, it’s in the perfect locations. So go make your reservation online and enjoy some Hawaiian cuisine.
